How document processing differs

Draft for technical, business, and legal review. Retention details and final hosting practices must be completed before launch.

Windows desktop application

Ordinary PDF-to-Markdown conversion occurs locally on the customer's computer. The desktop app does not require uploading PDF content to 2cmd infrastructure for conversion.

Planned web converter

The browser converter is a separate processing model. When implemented, a PDF selected for web conversion will be uploaded temporarily to server infrastructure and processed there. Web conversion is therefore not local.

The technical retention and deletion process has not been finalized. A specific retention duration will be stated only after the implementation can enforce and verify it. The converter is not connected during this development phase.

Website technical data

Ordinary website hosting may process technical request metadata needed to deliver and protect the site. Final hosting logs, access, and retention practices remain subject to review. No behavioural analytics or document-activity tracking is currently included.

Planned product announcements

The announcement service must never receive PDF content, Markdown content, filenames, or document activity. It must remain limited to controlled product-announcement records.

Contact and final review

A privacy contact, effective date, hosting details, and web-converter deletion language will be added before launch.
